· Geometry

· Percentage

- I chose retail marketing, getting the selling price.

Finding facts on retail marketing:

· Get a receipt and compute the retail price from a wholesale order

Quantity: 24 pieces

Description: A catsup brand at 25g

Unit Price: 1.95

Amount: 46.80

Writing: Creating a story problem

· State the problem

How to get the selling price and profit?

· Show the operation

Selling price is equal to total cost multiply by one and 20 percent mark up price.

Selling price = 46.80 x (1+0.20)

Selling price = 46.80 x 1.20

Selling price = 56.16

· Write the solution

Therefore, the unit price of 1.95 multiply to 20 percent mark up rice is 0.39

So, you will add 0.39 to the unit price yielding to 2.34 or round off to 2.50.

Once you get the profit, just multiply 2.50 to 24 as it represents the pieces of the product, getting 60.
