It has been a month since I started working and back to Online English teaching. It was not that difficult to adjust. I can still remember navigating tools. Adapting to the environment was not hard as well.
What should I learn more? Adjust as much as you could.
Check my encodings. It must be in past tense. Anyway, there are sample evaluations that I can consult.
Be a Grammar Expert. Well, it’s not that easy for a Filipino whose English is a secondary language. However, I salute all my English teachers in grade school, high school and college.
It’s an unexpected event that I will teach a Secondary Language such as English to a foreigner. And I never expect that English has been my tongue, bread and butter perhaps.
Effective Speech Communicator at all times. You will learn the importance of communication by talking to different levels of people. Remember: Different levels of age means adjusting to communication styles.
Be a Pop Culturist. They are not Americans which is the same to some Filipino culture. They may know Britney Spears but not Hannah Montana. Try to say twenty one which is a sensational group of Star Circle Quest’s runner up, Sandara Park.
Adapt to a Communist Company. Freedom of Expression is hindered. Power tripping is rampant. Pessimistic issues left and right for some employees. You always hear complains, unpleasant conversations and enemies in disguise.
Summary:
I understand how Filipinos badly need a job. They tend to be quiet about the obvious issues in the company. Unfortunately, Filipinos has been a crab to their own race. It’s not fine to tight a strap on your body.
They are not objective as Americans do. If you perform well, you get what you deserve. No wonder the culture of Asia has always been behind those Amazing American companies, fantastic British management, and high standard European Investors.
We all know that they have negative issues as well. However, have we ever wondered? Why did they surpass the tremendous standards of high quality people?
Think of an example, which will you choose? A China made mobile phone or from Finland?
I write because it's a medicine. It nurses my craft.
