Let’s talk about racing – car, horse, human and even insects. Don’t you observe any colors? Yes, they have colors. It’s either on the side, front or back. Especially to cars, they’re enticing to the eyes.
Fortunately, Philippine politics do have their colors. Signatures as you may say. We have yellow running at first and kilometers away comes Orange. Then we have Red close with Green. Following to them are Red, Yellow, Green and Blue.
Did you get a headache? Yes, really terrible headache… They’re all running, campaigning and making noise. What’s worst? Throwing of dirt to each other is rampant. They are all vying to set their color flags at Malacañang.
We only have two weeks left before we shade the egg-shaped polling papers. Our deliberation is finally setting. Which color should we choose? Will we vote for the color that is good to the eyes? Will we vote for the color that will set change to the dark marks of our bureaucracy?
In my opinion, the leader with vibrant shades of progress should lead. A compassionate color which will not fade through gold and shining, shimmering diamonds. True color at its finest that seeing brown, gray and dirty white without any prejudice to his administration.
We should always remember Eric Clapton’s True Colors song, once we see the true colors, we will love it not because or whys. It’s true and will never fade. We should also learn that God gave us colors to see the beauty of the world.
At the end of the day, when we set our eyes to sleep, it’s only black and nothingness. We will be blind and see dreams as dreams.
